Cooking as a state of mind. Filmed between two restaurants.

Tohru Nakamura had just closed the doors of the two Michelin starred Werneckhof and was preparing to open Tohru in der Schreiberei. As part of Support Your Neighbours, an IVORY initiative to back local craft when the dining rooms had to close, we asked him to cook for the camera in a Gaggenau showroom. Small crew, long takes, no plating instructions. The film treats light, sound and rhythm with the same care as ingredients.
